Nerva is a digitally delivered brain-gut therapy program personalized by AI, combining gut-directed hypnotherapy, CBT-informed coaching, and diaphragmatic breathing.
This course has been designed to help you move beyond fragmented IBS care by adopting an integrated, patient-centered approach. You'll discover more about the IBS diagnosis, the science of gut-brain therapy, how Nerva works in practice, and strategies for delivering cohesive, multidisciplinary care.

Course presenters
GI Psychologist
Dr. Megan Riehl is a key opinion leader in the field of psychogastroenterology. She is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Michigan.
Neurogastroenterologist
Dr. Justin Brandler, MD is a neurogastroenterology and motility specialist. He currently works at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, USA.
Registered Dietitian
Nancee Jaffe is the lead dietitian for the UCLA Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases. She also works in her clinical nutrition practice, counseling patients on diagnoses such as IBS, IBD, celiac disease, short bowel syndrome and idiopathic or functional bowel disorders.
Advanced Practice Provider
Amy Stewart is the lead advanced practice provider (APP) at Capital Digestive Care in Washington, D.C.
Research Lead
Claire Hall serves as Research Lead at Mindset Health where she oversees Nerva’s research strategy and clinical studies. She was a member of the early founding team and has been instrumental in establishing Mindset Health as a leader in clinically driven digital therapeutics.
Psychophysiologist, Gut-Directed Hypnotherapist
Dr. Simone Peters is a psychophysiologist who combines private practice with a research appointment with the Gastroenterology Department at Alfred Health, Monash University. She is the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer at Nerva.
